FAQ

Short answers to what physicians ask us most. If yours is not here, contact us. We read every message.

The report

What is in the report?
Six areas: compensation (base, bonus and RVU), benefits, non-compete and restrictive covenants, termination, notice and malpractice tail, call burden and call pay, and red flags or unusual clauses. Each finding comes with a leverage rating and a suggested redline.
Do I get a compensation benchmark?
Yes. Your base pay, productivity threshold and total compensation are compared against our own proprietary blend for your specialty, training year and metro area. You see the percentile range and where your offer falls in it.
Is the negotiation language ready to use?
Yes. Each suggested redline is written as wording you can put straight into an email. We also give a softer version for early-stage candidates and a firmer one for second-position offers.
How is the report delivered?
We email you when it is ready. The report opens from your signed-in account and can be downloaded as a PDF.

Who it covers

Which specialties do you cover?
All physician specialties, fellowship-trained or not: hospitalist, primary care, surgical subspecialties, anesthesia, radiology, pathology, emergency medicine, and procedural and non-procedural fields alike.
Do you review contracts for dentists, NPs or PAs?
Not at this time. We review physician (MD/DO) employment contracts only. If your contract turns out to be outside that scope, we tell you promptly and refund you.
Do you review academic and partnership-track contracts?
Yes. Equity-only offers, with no W-2 employment, are outside our scope. If your contract turns out to be one, we refund you promptly.
Do you review locums and per-diem contracts?
Yes, for the same flat fee. The review focuses on cancellation, malpractice coverage (occurrence or claims-made) and credentialing timelines.
What if my contract covers more than one state?
We review multi-state employment when your license is in one primary state. A true multi-state academic appointment may need an attorney for the cross-state non-compete. We flag that and discuss the options with you before going ahead.
Can you review a contract that is not in English?
Not at this time. We review contracts written in English only.

Timing and follow-up

How long does it take?
Within 24 hours of upload, including the final review. A straightforward contract can be ready within minutes. If we are running behind your deadline, we tell you before it slips and give you a revised estimate.
Can you turn it around faster?
If you have a tight deadline, email [email protected] before you upload and we will tell you whether we can prioritize it.
Can I ask questions after I get the report?
Yes. One round of follow-up questions by email is included. Most physicians use it for help wording their reply to the employer. We usually answer within a business day.

Privacy

Where is my contract stored?
Your uploaded file is stored with our storage provider in the United States. It is encrypted at rest by our storage provider and sent over HTTPS. The report does not need your name or address, so redact what you can before you upload.
Who reads my contract?
A physician on our team reads every report before it goes anywhere. AI tools do the first pass: they pull out the clauses, dates and numbers, then draft and check the report. Your contract is never sold and never shared outside that review.
Can I delete my contract after delivery?
Yes. Email [email protected] at any time and we delete your uploads and reports. Copies in backups expire on our normal backup cycle.
Will my employer or recruiter find out?
No. We never contact them, and we do not share your name, the offer or the report with anyone outside our review team.
